Origins & Roots Formed under New Planet Entertainment, H.U.B (an acronym for 'Hope U Bounce') stepped into the competitive K-Pop arena with high aspirations and a dynamic concept. The group originally debuted as a four-member ensemble on February 9, 2017, introducing listeners to their fierce debut single 'Girl Gang'.
Formative Trials & Lineup Expansion The group continuously evolved, notably welcoming Produce 101 contestant Hyosun in May 2017, alongside various lineup shifts that brought diverse talents like Japanese soloist and athlete Rui into the fold. Members actively contributed to their creative output, composing tracks and choreographing their performances.
Breakthrough & Athletic Acclaim H.U.B captured mainstream attention largely due to member Rui's phenomenal athletic dominance at MBC's Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC). Breaking national records in the 60m sprint and winning gold, Rui catapulted the group into public prominence and cemented their unique athletic identity.
Global Reach & Critical Milestones Beyond group releases, individual members participated in high-profile survival shows including MIXNINE and The UNIT, expanding their reach. Despite a relatively short active period, their unique blend of hip-hop influences, powerful choreography, and independent artistry earned them dedicated fans worldwide under the fandom name WE.B.
Legacy & Disbandment Although the group entered an inactive phase in early 2019 and officially disbanded around that time, the members have transitioned into new chapters—pursuing solo careers, fashion, beauty technician paths, and personal milestones—leaving behind a memorable underground-leaning K-Pop legacy.
