Origins and Early Roots Born in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, Lee Jinyoung—known professionally as 104 (백사)—grew up with an expanding fascination for urban rhythm. Long before he stepped into a vocal booth, he found himself captivated by the raw cadence of hip-hop culture beginning around 2011, absorbing influences that would eventually shape his distinct artistic identity.
Military Service and Artistic Awakening A defining turning point in his life came during his mandatory military service. Stationed in unit 104, Jinyoung found profound inspiration in his duties, cultivating a deep sense of patriotism and pride that would ultimately inspire his iconic stage name. Rather than letting service interrupt his creative ambitions, it forged his resilient character.
SoundCloud Genesis and Crew Integration Returning to civilian life, 104 began releasing tracks independently on SoundCloud in 2019, starting with his self-titled project '#104'. His unique vocal tone and lyrical honesty quickly caught the attention of underground peers like Whalethemigaloo, leading to his foundational memberships in both the V:ACEMENT and THAT'S NO EXIT collectives.

Whether spending hours refining emotionally heavy lyrics or enjoying matches of FIFA Online, his journey exemplifies genuine dedication to the craft of hip-hop.
