Origins & Roots Formed around 2012 within the high-stakes walls of YG Entertainment, this clandestine 7-member trainee squad brought together some of the most formidable young talents of their generation. Long before their paths diverged into major K-pop stardom or alternative realms, these boys were gathered under a shared vision of redefining the landscape of Korean idol music.
Training & Trials The grueling regimen at YG's headquarters tested every member's endurance. Trainees like Kim Jinwoo, Kang Seungyoon, and Kim Sehyoon underwent rigorous daily training alongside underground prodigies and backup dancers like Kwon Youngdon, forging intense bonds through relentless sweat and discipline.
The Cancellation Despite meticulous preparations and high expectations within the label, the planned debut was abruptly scrapped due to strategic internal shifts. The group never saw the light of day as a cohesive unit, leaving behind only whispered legends in K-pop lore until decades later.
Legacy & Ascension Although the initial group dissolved before launch, its members seeded some of the most influential acts of the decade. Alumni went on to spearhead groups like WINNER, A.C.E, and UNIQ, or conquer choreography stages, turning a cancelled debut into a breeding ground for iconic industry veterans.
Artistic Impact The rediscovery of this phantom lineup highlights the volatile nature of K-pop incubation. It stands as a testament to resilience, proving that true talent eventually finds its spotlight regardless of initial setbacks.
