Origins and Roots Formed under the visionary umbrella of ChoCo Entertainment in May 2019, ChoCo1 emerged as a groundbreaking pre-debut project designed to bridge cultures between South Korea and the United States. Rooted in artistic versatility, the group brought together exceptionally talented trainees like Jake and TJ, each harboring unique artistic backgrounds from cities across South Korea.
Training and Formative Trials Long before stepping into the spotlight, the members endured rigorous training regimens. Jake entered ChoCo Entertainment at the tender age of twelve, building upon his early experience as a children's model and cultivating self-production skills. Alongside members like TJ—a freestyle dance champion with unmatched tenacity—the group underwent years of intense vocal, dance, and instrumental preparation.
The Breakthrough Moment The collective's anticipation reached a fever pitch with the release of their collaborative pre-debut track "Catch me if you can" on December 12, 2025. Furthermore, members gained substantial public recognition through major survival reality programs such as PROJECT 7 and Boys II Planet, expanding their dedicated international fandom.
Global Ascension and Sound ChoCo1's musical identity draws heavily from old-school hip-hop, self-produced compositions like Jake's "McDonald In The Space," and dynamic freestyle choreography. Their dual-market promotional strategy across Seoul and America sets a new paradigm for upcoming idol groups seeking universal resonance.
Artistic Philosophy and Legacy Guided by mottos of relentless perseverance such as "Just do it" and "Keep going until it works," ChoCo1 strives for the number one spot on the Billboard charts. Their journey underscores resilience, youthful creativity, and an unwavering commitment to redefining contemporary pop music.
