Origins & Roots Born Lee Chan Hee on October 5, 1993, in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, Chunji grew up with a natural affinity for performance and arts. Raised alongside an older brother, his early years were marked by a quiet curiosity and an expressive temperament that naturally gravitated toward the stage. His hometown environment provided a stable foundation, yet his ambitions extended far beyond conventional pursuits, laying the groundwork for a future in the spotlight.
Training & Discovery Unlike many of his peers who entered agencies through massive joint public auditions, Chunji carved a distinct path by successfully passing a rigorous private audition for TOP Media. This achievement highlighted his raw talent and distinct vocal coloring. Entering the grueling K-pop trainee system, he honed his natural gifts under strict discipline, perfecting his pitch, breath control, and visual presence to prepare for an intensely competitive industry.
Breakthrough & Ascension In July 2010, Chunji debuted as the lead vocalist and visual of the groundbreaking boy group TEEN TOP. Armed with the stage name Chunji—signifying a voice that covers the heavens and earth—he quickly captured public attention with his crystalline high notes and striking stage visuals. TEEN TOP's energetic dance tracks and knife-like choreography propelled them to international stardom, with Chunji anchoring the group's melodic soul.
Landmarks & Acclaim Beyond group activities, Chunji expanded his artistic footprint into musical theater, taking on acclaimed roles in productions such as 'Caffeine' and 'Russian Coffee'. His ability to translate pop vocal dynamics into theatrical emotional depth earned him critical praise. Following his mandatory military enlistment in August 2020, he returned to the entertainment sphere with renewed maturity, cementing his status as a versatile veteran artist.

Whether solving 1000-piece puzzles backstage, maintaining meticulous personal standards, or connecting deeply with fans known as Angels, he remains a beloved pillar of second-generation K-pop history, inspiring future generations with his harmonious blend of talent and humility.
