Origins & Roots Formed through the rigorous AVEX survival initiative known as the 'a-genic PROJECT' in 2019, GENIC emerged from a competitive pool of fourteen talented trainees. Bringing together seven young men and seven young women for initial evaluations, the process ultimately forged a cohesive, high-energy seven-member lineup consisting of five male and two female artists.

The Trainee Crucible Before officially claiming their spots in the final group, members underwent extensive vocal, dance, and performance training typical of the elite Japanese idol system. Several members already possessed prior entertainment experience, including former group involvements and modeling careers, which injected immediate stage maturity into the collective.

Breakthrough & Debut The group dropped their pre-debut music video for _夏恋 (Summer Love)_ in December 2019, capturing the breezy, optimistic spirit of their summer workshop days. They officially debuted on May 27, 2020, establishing an infectious musical style that blends pristine harmonies, sharp choreography, and contemporary pop production.

Landmark Accolades GENIC has steadily expanded its cultural footprint through stellar releases like 'UPDATE', 'FLY', and 'FUTURES'. Members have also broken barriers outside standard idol tracks, with Maria Kenya winning Miss World Japan 2020 and multiple members securing major brand ambassador roles with sportswear giants like NIKE.

Artistic Legacy Today, GENIC stands as a vanguard of contemporary Japanese co-ed music. With self-producing talents within their ranks—such as Koike Ryuki and Nishizawa Joe composing and writing tracks—the group continues to inspire fans globally as GENICnation.
