Origins & Roots HALF&HALF (하프앤하프), originally known as Newb during their formative training period under ICE Entertainment, emerged as a promising South Korean pre-debut boy group designed around a poetic conceptual duality. Comprising six dedicated members—Junseok, Moonkyu, Heemin, Ren, Wonjun, and Jungwook—the group was conceptualized to represent the notion that the members make up one half while their devoted fanbase fills the other, ultimately creating a complete entity.
Training & Development Before stepping onto the public stage, each member underwent rigorous training regimens across various entertainment ecosystems. They cultivated unique artistic identities through traditional instrument training, intense dance practices, survival show appearances, and formative experiences in earlier groups, building resilience through every trial.
Breakthrough & Showcase The ensemble held their highly anticipated first official showcase on April 6, 2024, marking a significant milestone in their journey. Shortly after, they released their debut pre-debut single titled 'Together' on May 14, 2024, capturing the attention of K-pop enthusiasts worldwide with their synchronized performances and harmonious vocal blends.
Milestones & Partnership Although their journey as a cohesive unit encountered abrupt industry shifts, including the official termination of their social channels and the members parting ways in July 2025, the legacy of HALF&HALF remains an inspiring chapter of perseverance, independent member progression, and artistic ambition.
Legacy & Philosophy Today, the members continue to pursue their artistic callings across various subsequent projects, survival shows, and alternate groups, carrying forward the foundational philosophy of HALF&HALF: resilience in the face of uncertainty and an unwavering dedication to their craft.
