Origins & Roots In4mal (인포머) originally began its complex artistic journey in early 2014 as a hip-hop crew named Rotifle Crew under Jaychan International. Composed of passionate trainees including Seulgi, J-FEEL, Seungheon, Youngho, and Choi Jun, the collective sought to establish a unique presence in the vibrant South Korean underground and pre-debut scene.
Training & Evolution Through strategic collaborations with AllBlack Entertainment, the group participated in joint promotions alongside GP Basic under the banner of AllBlack Crew, performing their pre-debut track '4AM'. Their identity underwent rapid transformations as they rebranded to Dobermann and subsequently V-STAR, navigating constant lineup shifts and intense industry trials.
Breakthrough & Drama Appearance The turning point arrived when the members stepped into mainstream consciousness by appearing in the K-drama 'My Lovely Girl' and releasing its official soundtrack 'Pray (Male Ver.)'. Cementing their presence, they rebranded once more to In4mal to mirror the fictional boy band they portrayed on screen.
Landmark Partnership & Legacy In March 2015, the group signed with major powerhouse LOEN Entertainment, sparking intense anticipation for an official commercial debut single. Although unforeseen cancellations led to their disbandment later that year, the members successfully transitioned into thriving careers across musical theater, television, business, and solo artistry.
Artistic Philosophy & Impact Despite never achieving a standard mainstream broadcast debut as a unified quintet, In4mal remains a fascinating case study in K-pop pre-debut history. Their resilience, individual reinventions, and enduring bonds continue to inspire fans and document the relentless dedication required within the Korean entertainment landscape.
