In his high school years around the twelfth grade, he began writing songs with a close friend. He later became a member and bassist of the indie band Blueocean (originally known as Sforzando) active from 2019 to 2020, eventually transitioning to acoustic guitar as his signature instrument.
Military Service and Artistic Breakthrough Demonstrating remarkable dedication and discipline, Taejoong successfully completed his mandatory military service as a sergeant in the elite Republic of Korea Marine Corps. Upon returning to civilian life, his artistic breakthrough arrived in 2022 when he won a prestigious statue at the 33rd Yoo Jaeha Music Contest with his evocative track 'Night, dream'.
Official Debut and Ascending Recognition Building upon his contest acclaim, Taejoong officially launched his formal solo career on October 30, 2023, with the touching single 'The Morning Is Coming'. His distinct vocal tone combined with gentle acoustic arrangements established him as a refreshing voice in the contemporary Korean singer-songwriter landscape.
Artistic Philosophy and Legacy Guided by his personal motto, 'Wisdom makes me shine,' Taejoong continues to connect intimately with listeners through his YouTube channel, acoustic covers, and pet companion updates with his poodle Roda.
