Origins & Roots Born in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, Kiki Xu (Xu Jia Qi) displayed an innate passion for performance from a young age. Raised by a devoted single mother in an environment that valued discipline, she dedicated six formative years to rigorous ballet training, cultivating the poised posture and artistic discipline that would later define her stage presence.
Training & Early Trials Driven by her artistic aspirations, Kiki auditioned for and was accepted into SM Entertainment as a trainee, yet she ultimately declined the offer to remain close and support her single mother. Turning her focus domestically, she joined SNH48 in October 2012, later promoting to Team SII and enduring years of grueling idol training, performances, and theater shows.
Breakthrough & Global Ascension Her definitive mainstream breakthrough arrived when she competed in the monumental survival reality show Youth With You 2 in 2020. Captivating audiences with her razor-sharp choreography, stage charisma, and consistent high rankings, she finished in 3rd place and secured her debut spot in the temporary powerhouse girl group THE9.
Landmark Honors & Expansion Beyond her music achievements with THE9 and 7SENSES, Kiki transitioned seamlessly into television drama acting. She earned widespread critical acclaim for her performances in hit series such as Legend of Yunxi and The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, establishing her own independent studio in 2021 to manage her thriving solo career in music and fashion.
Artistic Philosophy & Legacy Today, Kiki Xu represents a modern archetype of Asian stardom—effortlessly bridging the worlds of high-fashion modeling, intense idol performance, and dramatic acting. Through resilience, unyielding dedication to her craft, and deep gratitude for her supporters, she continues to inspire a vast global fandom known as Blackis.
