Origins & Roots Born on January 28, 2005, Lee Young-woong emerged from the vibrant South Korean underground music scene. His early life was marked by a global perspective, having spent significant time living in Sydney, Australia, which allowed him to become fluent in English and shaped his unique lyrical flow.
Formative Trials Young-woong began his professional journey as an independent artist in 2019. His early development was heavily influenced by his participation in hip-hop collectives, specifically LIVRSIDE and BUSTDOWNHOOD (BDH), where he honed his craft alongside fellow emerging artists.
Breakthrough His official entry into the industry was marked by the release of his debut track, "TOO FAST," featuring HOON. This release established his presence in the scene, further solidified by his participation in the competitive reality show High School Rapper 4 (HSR4).
Critical Acclaim While his HSR4 journey ended in the second round, the exposure allowed him to collaborate with notable underground figures like Heo Daniel and Southkidd. His work is characterized by a raw, authentic approach to storytelling that resonates with a niche but dedicated audience.
Artistic Philosophy Young-woong maintains a fiercely independent spirit. His artistic identity is defined by self-reliance—famously joking that he would rather be stranded on a deserted island alone than with others—and a deep appreciation for diverse musical influences like Post Malone and The Black Skirts.
