Origins & Roots Formed in the vibrant cultural landscape of Chicago, USA, in 2019, SeoulFly emerged as a distinctive South Korean-American indie duo uniting TJ and JLee. Rooted in diverse musical backgrounds—with TJ inheriting a passion for rock and choir performance from his father, and JLee developing a fierce appreciation for rhythmic rap—the duo found immediate artistic synergy.
Training & Formative Trials Their journey began not in a traditional entertainment boardroom, but through lighthearted creative experiments and shared church communities in 2017. What started as casual joke songs and impromptu collaborations soon evolved into serious artistic exploration, navigating the hurdles of beat production, writer's block, and digital music distribution.
Breakthrough Ascension The official debut on July 23, 2019, with the double single *SF Summer*, marked their official entry into the global music scene. Tracks like *crime*, *Falling*, and *LONELY* quickly captivated listeners worldwide, bridging the gap between contemporary K-pop sensibilities and Western alternative R&B.
