Origins & Roots Formed under JSL Company, known also as KJ Music Entertainment, TOC emerged as an ambitious South Korean pre-debut boy group whose moniker stood for 'The Other Class'. The quintet was meticulously assembled to showcase a distinct musical and visual identity that would separate them from conventional idol groups.
Training & Scouting The group brought together a diverse lineup of talented individuals, including former members of earlier groups and experienced trainees. Members like Keumyong, Taegeon, Sehyeon, Yeonho, and Su·L underwent rigorous artistic training, combining vocal coaching, intensive choreography sessions, and media preparation.
Breakthrough & International Prominence Introduced to the public starting March 23, 2020, TOC immediately set their sights on cross-border expansion. They launched their promotional activities heavily in the Japanese market, building an enthusiastic overseas following before their official domestic debut in South Korea.
Unforeseen Hiatus & Silent Dissolution Despite high expectations and active engagement from fans through various social media channels, momentum unexpectedly halted. Following a complete silence across all official accounts starting in mid-July 2020, the group quietly disbanded without making their official Korean debut.
Legacy & Post-TOC Paths Though TOC never saw an official album release on Korean music shows, the members have continued their artistic journeys in remarkable ways. Alumni have since found success in other groups like DKZ, pursued modeling, acting, professional dance choreography, and solo music careers.
