Origins & Roots Born and raised in the historic metropolis of Istanbul, Turkey, Azra Gökçe Arıcan—known professionally as Opia—exhibited an extraordinary artistic curiosity from a very tender age. Growing up in a culturally vibrant household alongside an older rapper brother, her early environment was saturated with rhythm, rhyme, and performance. Long before the global lights of the entertainment industry beckoned, she nurtured dreams that spanned classical ballet, competitive ice skating, and intricate lyrical composition.
Training & Formative Trials Driven by an insatiable passion for movement and sound, Opia embarked on a rigorous dance journey that has spanned an astonishing fifteen years. Her early formative years were marked by relentless discipline, countless hours in rehearsal studios, and casting offers from modeling and acting agencies that she balanced with her artistic pursuits. Her exceptional linguistic aptitude—fluent in three languages and possessing working knowledge of over ten—set her apart as a uniquely global intellect capable of bridging diverse cultures seamlessly.
Breakthrough & Ascendance The pivotal turning point arrived when her dedication caught the attention of Shinwha Entertainment, bridging her Turkish roots with the exacting ecosystem of the Korean entertainment industry. Training alongside established talents such as the members of X:IN, Opia developed a commanding stage presence that sharply contrasts with her naturally shy off-stage demeanor. Her ability to command the spotlight transformed her into one of the most anticipated pre-debut figures of her generation.

Her multi-faceted artistry—ranging from songwriting and lyricism to advanced choreography—positions her as a transformative figure in modern transnational pop music. Her philosophy of taking life 'one day at a time' anchors her amidst the whirlwind of global attention.
Artistic Philosophy & Legacy Opia's enduring legacy lies in her unwavering authenticity and her bridge-building potential across continents. By dismantling geographic barriers between Istanbul and Seoul, she champions a borderless artistic vision.
